Themes: A seamless interactive video installation using materials and images that create a space of consciousness that raises questions about mortality and the fluidity of human identity. The ritual pivoting action of the visitor sitting in the chair at the centre of four surrounding monitors activates video images to increase and decrease in speed. With each turn to view the peripheral monitor, there is uncertainty about whether what is seen is what was just seen. Video images of everyday ritual acts around a burial are edited to repeat five times. The sound mix is of garbled human voices and a soundtrack of wind blowing through hydro wires. The latter is from Journeys on the Wind by Alan Lamb.
