Floor Installation – Videos at either end of a corridor of bright green outdoor carpeting engage the visitor’s turning action to view contrasting types of water videos. The vintage tube monitors face each other, each sitting on a vintage government-issue telephone table from the 1950s.
Video Projection Installation – the contrasting videos titled Reversal and Golden Pond are projected either on facing walls or side-by-side. It has been shown at the Banff Centre Other Gallery and the Alhamra Gallery in Lahore, Pakistan, in this way.
In both approaches, this seeing action through turning creates a space, or time slippage, for the imagination to question and experience oneness with the whole. The back-and-forth, in-and-out actions of the videos and the visitor reference how we try to remember the source before we move forward into consciousness and an identity shift.
